what i've been wearing #8..

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd take some quick pictures out in the sun of today's outfit. I'm taking my new Warehouse mac on it's first outing (find it here) and I am in luuuurve with it!! 

 

It looks as if it's in 2 parts with a thicker material top part and a thinner pleated swing detail at the bottom. I've been looking for a new mac since I left mine at a uni open day and I love anything that's a bit different from what's expected and this certainly is!

 

Millie Mackintosh wore it in one of her Style Diary entries and it was love at first sight!! It's lovely weather here today but it was raining earlier so the jacket was needed! I wore it with a H&M lace low back top, simple skinnies from New Look, a nude Celine style bag and my first pair or sandals of the year from Dorothy Perkins, hooray!!

weekly wishlist #1..

Here's just a few of the bits I'm lusting over this week. There's a student event in River Island (just after loan day = clever, unlucky for me mines all going into my car fund = boring) where students get 20% off between the 16th and 18th online and in store so these are all River Island, apart from the jacket which is River Island but through Asos as it's sold out on their website (boo!).

I'm only mean to be looking at holiday bits now, hence the bikini and playsuit but I fell in love with this skirt!! Beaut! It reminds me of the 60's but with a twist?? The skirt and these heels together killer combo, hurry up pay day! The wax jacket, I've been looking for one similar for a while and I know it's completely impractical for next season but I love it! Think I have an weakness for anything with a little faux fur!! Anybody else picked anything up with the offer? Lots of love, Charl xx

Definitely not a leather trousers trend going on there.. haha! Ooops!! I love how each of these wear things differently, definitely think my style is quite varied  sometimes being quite mod to more urban grunge and more sophisticated tailored. what i've been wearing #7..

Hiiii, thought I'd show you the outfit I wore out to town last night for today's post! I am seriously loving the pinafore and dungaree trend, I tried this lovely River Island skater skirt version but the straps and non-adjustable and just waay to be for me being a little shortie! Eventually I gave in to this beaut Topshop playsuit version which is now sold out unfortunately! The straps were still to big but I happily altered it as I looove it!! Plus spotting it on Millie Mackintosh in her style diary then on Celeb Juice probably swayed me more than it should! I wore it out for my friends 21st night out with a blouse but I'll wear it with crop tops, high neck tops, jumpers anything!!

Sorry about the lighting they're just quick photos from my phone! The shirt is a gorgeous blue and white porcelain china style print which I know I'll be constantly wearing!! (had to crop my face out, few too many already at this point!)

Wore it with my Jeffrey Campbell black leather Litas my watch thin band rings and a Urban Outfitters little charm necklace- I was planning on wearing my Topshop chain but I fancied keeping the jewellery simple!

what i've been wearing (kind of) #6..

Heya guys! I was meant to be having a night out last night but I've ended up staying in so I thought I'd show what I may have worn since I have no night out outfit for you! Going out mid week, I never dress as smart as I would going out on the weekend so the easier the outfit the better! I was going super easy and thinking of just a basic blouse and leather trousers combo, style rut hello! The easiest blouse I have to chuck on is this baby pink pleated back blouse! 

I love it so much I even bought it in black too haha! I wore it out for my friends birthday with a pearl collar necklace and leather trousers and a house party with a neon gem necklace and acid wash jeans. It's so basic you can put it with anything but the back detail makes it a bit more interesting I think! I would have put it with my gold Topshop chain necklace, River Island leather trousers and black cut out heels like this..

holiday buys

Instead of the same old outfit post and with this apparent heat wave this week I thought I'd show you some of the holiday purchases I've naughtily already picked up! Spending ban has clearly gone really well Charl... 

I'm loving these denim circle skirts everywhere at the moment, this ones from Topshop and it was only £20! It's perfect for holidays as it's quite basic so it can go with loads of different styles! I've put it with this pink chiffon strappy top from Missguided with a really pretty back as I love the bright colour against the light denim! I'm looking for a nice crop top to wear with it likes these:

I got this white dress in the Motel sale around Christmas time I think it was to put away for holidays. the skirt is a suede style material, it's so different I had to have it as soon as I saw it online!! I think I'm gonna change the belt to a black one with some black sandals and my black leather Jeffrey Campbell Litas if I wear it on a night out at home, with a well needed leather jacket on top too!

I also found this gem on the Boohoo website the other day when I was looking for a midi dress and it was something ridiculous like £10!!!! I love everything tie-dye and pastels so fell in love with this! 

I also picked up this beaut mint green dress from H&M yesterday while I was shopping in town (meant to only be returning something oops!!) and even the boyfriend said 'that's your colour' haha I am so predictable love my pastels especially mint green! Literally can't wait to wear this dress!! Payday I'll be ordering this American Apparel backless halter-neck bodysuit to go with my pink chiffon midi skirt below

It's sooo easy to pick up pretty dresses but day and basics wise I have hardly anything so far! 

The high-waist denim shorts will make a few appearances I'm sure! Next is the dreaded bikini shopping - the only shopping besides school uniform shopping when I was younger that I actually dread!

what i've been wearing #5..

Sorry about the not very great pictures in this post I didn't have chance to take any of my outfit properly before going out but this is what I wore to go out last night for bank holiday! To be honest I'd been torn between two outfits to wear all week but ended up choosing this one as I need to alter the other one so I'm wearing that later in the week! 

 

I wore a Topshop denim circle skirt which I only had recently so should still be there, an Asos wrap bodysuit I had off my boyfriend a few Christmases ago, my Urban Outfitters cross belt, my black leather Jeffrey Campbell Lita's and a nude Primark studded bag. I was going to take the black version but I thought the nude one broke up all the black and denim!

what i've been wearing #4..

Just a little post on my outfit for last night, we just went to the pub so it's nothing very special sorry! Another blouse too! But I wore it with black ankle grazer jeans and my black fur gillet I wore over my leather jacket in another post. I didn't wear the leather jacket under it this time just cause I knew I'd be boiling and I've left it down there before! Was hard being without my leather for a week haha!

I wore with them my boat, creeper style shoes from River Island - not really sure what you would class these as! 

To be honest they are a little bit wrecked but I love them, I just throw them on almost everyday as they're a tough grungey shoe I love mixing with girlie outfits but go with just jeans a t shirt and plaid shirt too! Also thought I'd show you what I'm wearing today..

This is what I've worn all day, I was just shopping with the boyfriend so it's only casual! I got this grey midi dress from the website boohoo an absolute steal it was only like £15-ish and I loveee a good midi!! I'm wearing my Topshop chain I can't stop wearing at the moment and the same shoes as last nights outfit! Tonight I'm going out for a meal with the work girls cause one of them is leaving us!! I wasn't planning on changing my outfit but it's just sooo cold out so I'm wearing something very similar to last nights outfit but I have on a black blouse with a gorgeous pleated back! Hard not to sing all black errrytaaang...

what i've been wearing #3..

ANOTHER blouse, sorry!! I did say I was obsessed!! This blouse I had for Christmas from my lovely boyfriend and lovvvve it!! It's a floral, watercolour kind of pattern and the colours are just gorge!!! Here are some of the ways I've worn it over the last few months.. 

I wore it on a night out just after Christmas with leather leggings, a statement necklace, coral wedges I had in sale from River Island were a bargain!! and a nude studded clutch bag. Excuse the cheesy club photo, I always end up chatting to the photographer in a club in town and end up with a million cheesy photos!!

I also paired it with the mint green angora jumper featured in an earlier post! I wore it with acid wash jeans and a pair or nude studded slipper shoes just for uni. I love pastel colours and these looked lovely together, one of my fav thrown on outfits!

I wore it under a leather jacket and fur gillet to go out for dinner with boy the other week too. The blouse wasn't what I was planning on wearing with the jacket combo and I still think it would look better with a black and white pattern blouse I have but it was so cold I needed the layers on top!! I wore a orangey coral lipstick and Topshop chain with them.

what i've been wearing #2..

I'm definitely obsessed with shirts and blouses! I found this super cute and girly blouse in the New Look sale not long ago, it was an absolute find and such a bargain and I just can't stop wearing it! It's so girly, I love pairing it with more masculine accessories such as rolled up jeans and chelsea boots like I did to go out for dinner with the girls a few weeks ago. 

I've even worn it for a more casual night out outfit, paired with leather trousers and black plain heels! Excuse the way I'm standing in this picture I look about a 100 stone and my hair had gone flat!!!

what i've been wearing..

Hiya!! For my first post on this blog I thought I'd show you some of the outfits I've been wearing recently and managed to take pictures of! The pictures aren't amazing quality, I think they're mostly all instagram pictures (charlottesiuol if you want to follow me), and they're all a bit muddled I'm sorry but now Uni has calmed down I'll try to take some better ones!

 

 I wore this outfit to my friends for a little birthday house party. I hate deciding what to wear to a house party, dress code argh! But I went for this beaut mint green angora jumper from H&M it's soo soft it's gorgeous!! But sticks to everything! Therefore wearing black jeans with it (my sister pinched my leather leggings to wear out that are pictured below) was a major disaster!! Underneath I wore a white blouse with a gold studded collar, also from H&M. It has a lovely smock back that I love!! It's so different I'll have to take a picture!

 Here's a picture of the blouse without the jumper, and with my leather leggings I wanted to wear. And a better picture of the outfit below, looking a little bit glassy eyed by this point!
